Simulation of electron emission from nanocomposite materials

The process of field emission of complex metal-semiconductor systems is one of the most promising technologies, leading to a decrease in the threshold of the emission current as compared to pure metal. Quantum mechanical model which explains how the sprayed material affects the properties of the substrate were built. The calculations were performed by density functional using the program package GAUSSIAN 03 in parallel computation on high performance computing system of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Control Processes.
