Project of electron gun for microwave devices with thermally expanded graphite cathodes

Simulation of the magnetron injection type electron gun with blade-type cathodes for microwave device showed, that using of the cathodes lateral structure reduces the impact of ion bombardment on the surface areas of the emitting electrons.
