Developing a design system to help reduce design cycle time

In this paper, we introduce the RDS system that is used by Skyworks' design community to perform design tasks. Integration of EDA tools, design kits, and environment infrastructure is introduced. A centralized computing pool to leverage computing power with effective cost structure is discussed. We elaborate on multi-site and project data management to ensure data integrity. We also describe the PDK concept and optimized hybrid design flows used by Skyworks' design teams.
