Being the effective tool for the study of surfaces, interfaces, and nanostructures, optical second-harmonic generation (SHG) was used for investigating small silver particles in island films. In the present work, we study hyper-Rayleigh scattering from the three-dimensional disordered array of silver nanocrystals embedded in a dielectric matrix.
