Super Resolved Holographic Configurations

Metal nanoparticles are attractive markers due to their special attributes. When illuminated by white light their apparent color changes, an effect which can be controlled by their size and shape. Due to their small size, they also exhibit Brownian motion. These two in conjunction are exploited in different imaging modalities as random nanoparticle masks which encode spatial features. These encoding mask can increase the resolution of an imaging system, increase in field of view and eliminate the unwanted terms in on-axis holography.
