Front-end Of A Digital Atv Receiver

This paper describes the front-end of a digital ATV receiver. The prototype of the board, which contains a tuner, a Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) filter, a downconverter, a Vestigal Sideband (VSB) demodulator, an Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC), and an on-board microprocessor was developed, built and troubleshot. The design is highly integrated and manufactured on a single printed circuit board.
