Entry-level additive manufacturing: Comparing geometric complexity to high-level machines

Not only has the entry-level additive manufacturing (ELAM) market grown at a remarkable rate over the last few years, but combined overall performance of these machines has improved. This enterprise gained publicity with two open-source projects and has grown to several available commercial systems found in the world today. The article will update the progress made in additive manufacturing (AM) with respect to the selected entry-level 3D printer's geometrical performance. It will also compare the results with different ELAM systems, and finally with an industrial AM system. The aim is to update the printing performance of ELAM systems.
