Radio communications: components, systems and networks [Series Editorial]

Dear readers: The last issue of the series in 2013 also marks a changing of the guard. After years of service as Editors of Radio Communications Series, it is time for Joe and Zoran to pass the torch to Tom and Amitabh. The Radio Communications Series of articles has provided wide-ranging coverage of a variety of topics of current interest to the IEEE Communications Society's readership. The field of wireless communications today is broad and diverse, and the Series topics have reflected this diversity. The incoming editors intend to continue the tradition that has been pioneered by Zoran and Joe, of selecting and publishing high-quality contributed articles introducing the readership to subjects of current interest in radio.
