Sergey aleksandrovich schelkunoff and his contribution to applied electrodynamics and the antenna theory

The paper is devoted to the first edition of the monograph dedicated to life and the scientific work of Sergey Aleksandrovich Shchelkunoff, an outstanding specialist in the field of technical electromagnetics and antennas. It is based on the materials from Samara, Moscow, Orenburg and Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, Massachusetts archives, and on S.A. Shchelkunoff's publications and memoirs. The scientist's biography facts and papers, little-known at his historic homeland until now, are presented.
