Analysis of typical failure modes and causes for space thick film fuse

The space thick film fuse is now widely used in spacecraft to provide protection from overcurrent. Based on the typical highly reliable thick-film fuse FM12, this paper analyses the fusing mechanism of space fuse, the classical failure modes and causes are investigated and summarized; Implement limit assessment test to domestic typical thick-film fuse, verify the rationality of one of the failure mechanism analysis results. It provides an important reference value for optimizing fuses' design process and improving the product quality.
