Adequacy optimization in long-term expansion planning of electric power systems

The paper formulates possible statements of the problem of optimizing the adequacy of electric power systems (EPSs). The authors present a general algorithm for EPS adequacy optimization and consider original methods for the EPS adequacy optimization, that are based on artificial manipulation of consumer load. Practical application of the presented methods for the test EPS confirmed their effectiveness.
