Classification and compensation of railroad engineers

This subject held the attention of the Railroad Administration's Board on Wages and Working Conditions for three days, during which time it heard representatives of Engineering Council and the American Association of Engineers. Prior to meeting the Railroad Administration's Board, Engineering Council had studied the subject through its Committee on Classification and Compensation of Engineers. Representatives of Council and the Association also planned a program based on the results of a meeting of railroad engineers on March 17, 1919, called by the American Association of Engineers for the purpose of getting exact data and tentative instructions.
