Chip and board-scale integrated Photonic Networks for next-generation computers

Careful co-design between electronics and photonics is needed to fully leverage the immense bandwidth-density potential of silicon photonics. Key insights are presented, which capture the interplay between process integration, device, circuit and system design strategies.
