Protective devices for preventing electric fatalities, and the fatalities by month in Japan

Electric accidents are caused occasionally. The occurrence of accidents leads to fatal accidents easily when an electric current of 50 mA flows through a human body for more than 2 sec. We cannot see electricity with one's eye as far as some detectors such as an electroscope (test instrument) does not use. Thus, the use of some protective devices is needed for preventing the accidents. The causes of the accidents are well known as follows. The check and determination of voltage by the electroscope has not been carried out. Appropriate protective devices for human protection have not been used. Thus, we will regret the accidents when the accidents will be caused without some check and the use of protective devices. This paper describes typical protective devices and trend of fatal accidents by month. The results show the accidents of more than 50% are caused from June to September. The causes of the accidents are outdoor workers wear less clothing and skin resistance of human body decreases, etc. The results will help to us to decrease the fatal accidents not only Japan but also U.S. and all over the world.
