Intelligent biomimetic actuators

Mems based implantable drug delivery and minimally invasive systems are currently used for regular monitoring of cardiac energy balance. Here we have proposed a novel system for measuring intracardiac bio-impedance and application of Mems piezoelectric diaphragms actuates the micro pump and injects the drug using micro needle. Pressure gradients across heart valves are measured using this system thereby extending the system to a Biomimetic of Heart- On- Chip.
