Results of an international intercomparison of microwave power in waveguide R 140 (WG 18, WR 62) at 15 GHz among some standardizing laboratories

The quantity to be compared between five standardizing laboratories (LCIE, NBS, NRC, RSRE, PTB) was the effective efficiency of four barretter and thermistor mounts serving as power transfer standards. One pair of barretter mounts was developed and made available by the RSRE; PTB has made available one pair of thermistor mounts. Two further pairs of barretter mounts — developed at the PTB — were damaged in the course of the run, their results must be excluded. The essential measurement results are presented in several diagrams and one table. Among almost all participants a good agreement of the measured values could be stated. The deviations of the measured values reported by the participants from a calculated weighted mean value were — with only one exception-smaller than 1.5 × 10
