Reduction of timing jitter of a femtosecond Ti:sapphire laser with saturable Bragg reflector by an optoelectronic phase locked loop

Summary form only given. We present an experimental demonstration of the effect of laser bandwidth on timing jitter in a mode-locked Ti:sapphire laser with saturable Bragg reflector. Furthermore, a new timing stabilization method that employs an optoelectronic harmonic mixer in a phase-locked loop is demonstrated.
