The use of dynamic programming techniques for determining resource allocations among R/D projects: An example

Although much theoretical activity has been devoted to the development of dynamic programming techniques applicable to R/D resource allocation, the use of these techniques in practical situations has been relatively limited because of lack of managerial familiarity, difficulties in formulating inputs, etc. A wider application of these techniques will be facilitated by case history descriptions and examples of successful applications to practical resource allocation problems.
