Resource allocation for R&D projects in developing countries

In this paper a nomogram is presented as a quick method for precomputing the economic range of expenditure on a project before its actual initiation. After a brief discussion of the severe factors that distinguish the problem as presented to a research establishment in a developing country, the theory underlying the construction of the nomogram and its application is outlined, and the technique is evaluated by comparing the results obtained from the nomogram in a study of 15 completed R&D projects.
