Characteristic improvements of flexible space structures as a control object

The possibility of employing a new approach to the design of flexible space vehicles to exhibit favourable dynamic properties for control purposes is considered. This approach is based on the concept of the "dynamic portrait", first introduced by the authors in 1996.
