Efficient extraction of field patterns in open resonators from time domain calculations

An accurate spectral-based interpolation (SBI) technique to calculate three dimensional field patterns from time domain results is presented. The fields can be calculated at any frequency of interest, including the structure's resonances, using a couple of frequency monitors in the desired frequency range and some estimated spectral information.
