Observation of nonlinear energy flow in REB-plasma system in a magnetic field

Experimental investigation of turbulence excited in magnetized plasma by a high current relativistic electron beam is presented. The peculiarities of these experiments are a strong magnetic field (ω
Be
C/ω
pe
V
Te
≥ 1000, ω
pe
≫ ω
Be
), large beam energy deposition into a plasma, and extensive diagnostics of turbulent plasma. The experimental results lead to conclusion that the most probable mechanism of energy transfer in our conditions is the collapse of Langmuir waves.
