A system study to investigate the feasibility of Terabit/s satellites

This paper presents a preliminary system analysis carried out in order to understand, from a system perspective, which technologies, communication techniques and resources will be required to achieve the challenging goal of developing a Terabit/s satellite system in the 2020 time horizon.
