Perspective of insurance agents' about LIC of India-A study at Nagapattinam District

Life insurance is essential for each and every person living in this uncertain and unpredictable world. It is mandatory for both covering the life risk and to provide economic security to the dependent members of the family. This study is conducted mainly to find out the agents perspective towards LIC of India and its services. The role of insurance is essentially carried out by the people; therefore it is essential for the agents to have the knowledge about offering better service to the customers. This study is about the agents vision towards the customers and know how far the services offered by the insurance companies is really bringing satisfaction to the customers and at what level the customers are utilizing the offers. The aim is to assess the socio-economic background of the rural customers; investigate agent's update of knowledge about policies and the satisfaction level of agents towards the LIC of India. Primary data was collected by the researcher with the help of structured questionnaire administered to 108 customers from LIC of India at Nagapattinam District- Tamilnadu.
