The development of the CheMin XRD/XRF: Reflections on building a spacecraft instrument

This paper describes some of the experiences and lessons learned in developing the CheMin XRD instrument that is included on the Mars Science Laboratory Mission. The descriptions are from the standpoint of the principal investigator and are anecdotal in nature.
