Abstract:

One of the important parts of the radar waveform is the range resolution since the targets in front of radar are so different with variety of shapes. In this paper we consider phase coded pulse compression as an effective way for improving joint range resolution and anti-jamming capability of a waveform with a sequence with limited side-lobe level in correlation function. The sequence which is used in this paper can be generated up to length 106 with limited computation burden. We use from this property to overcome the jammers with high power, especially in front of deceptive jammers. The simulation results represent that this waveform which is used by pulse compression is effective in detecting nearby targets in jammed environments, which are jammed by both deceptive jammer and barrage jammer. Moreover, we can simply increase the anti-jamming capability of waveform by increasing the length of the sequence up to 106.
