A negative imaginary lemma for descriptor systems

Flexible structure dynamics with collocated force actuators and position sensors lead to negative imaginary (NI) systems. In this paper, we study the extension of NI theory to descriptor systems. We derive an NI lemma for descriptor systems. An illustrative example is presented to support the result.
