A new method for detecting fatigue driving with camera based on OpenCV

The new system, which will be discussed in this paper, is to make the car slower and gives warning if it finds driver's drowsy eyes. For instance, Toyota Motor Corporation announced that it has given its pre-crash safety system [1] the ability to determine whether a driver's eyes are properly open with an eye monitor. This paper is proposing a new method detecting the drowsy eyes in order to implement the fatigue driving detecting system. Eyes are dynamic objects and have highly variability; that is why detecting eyes is pretty difficult. Here, we introduce a new method for detecting the drowsy eyes which is very suitable for hardware implementation and some other processes.
