Management workflow for consultants in a company

The present paper is an effort to partially automate the workflow to hire an external consultant in the cases when the existing expertise is not enough. Usually this happens in but is not limited to major worldwide companies. For the implementation we use a virtual intranet portal custom built for the Ford Motor Company plant in Craiova. Although it is used for development, the main idea was to make it deployable in production with changes related to the server environment architecture - in production we are no longer talking about a single machine.
