Electrical characteristics of graphene for nano-sized coplanar waveguide

This Graphene is a two-dimensional material with one-atom thickness, high carrier mobility and high thermal conductivity. The resistance of graphene can be tuned in the range of 30~100Ω by adjusting its dc bias, which have wide applications in RF circuit design. Its extraordinary features provide a new extension for the next generation of high-speed electronic integrated circuits. In this paper, the electrical performance of a graphene based-coplanar waveguide structure is analyzed, where the graphene flake sandwiched between the coplanar waveguide and the isolator is presented by using two parallel RC lumped circuits slotted in the signal electrode and the ground electrodes. Furthermore, the effect of the graphene's position in coplanar waveguide on the microwave characteristics of the structure has been analyzed.
