A real-time visualization method based on parametric surface and IHS model

Approaches for a visualization system are presented to generate surface structure of visible object. In scientific visualization, the visualized model, which has surface of a terrain-like shape, is usually presumed derived from data field of gird points defined by orthogonal division and data acquisition. Parametric surface and Central difference technology are employed in tessellating the curved surface and generating view-dependent multi-resolution models, which has excellent performance in real-time applications. Besides, pseudo-color algorithm can be implemented in real-time processing, which won't remarkably decrease the performance of generating graphics and images, since the data used for calculating color value has been generated in graphic processing. The systematical approach also adapts to data acquired in realistic scene, i.e., in virtual reality. Compared with previous methods, the systematic approaches presented here provide good flexibility in different applications. It works well in real-time application which involves graphic and image processing while providing good visual quality.
