Low-carbon urban planning of the resource-based cities

The resource-based cities play a very important role in the economic development in our country. In this paper, the current present situation of resources cities and the requirements of the urban construction were analyzed. The ideas of transforming from resource-based cities to low-carbon cities and building sustainable development have become popular since their first appearance. Based on the advantageous status, some suggestions are put forward for the sustainable development of resource-based cities, for example, it would be wise for us to construct low-carbon urban cities comprehensively taking the following into consideration: spatial planning, industry planning, transportation planning and energy planning.
