PID controller design for a class of distributed parameter systems

Partial differential equations (PDE) is widely used in describing, explaining or foreseeing all natural phenomena, and be applied in science and engineering technology. This paper deals with a one-dimensional diffusion wave equation, get the soaring curve of the object by using numerical method, then fit out the transfer function of the controlled object. E Opt method and GPM method, several groups of PID controller parameters are tuned. Then, dynamic simulation and Monte-Carlo experiments are applied on different control systems obtained by these methods. By comparing the time, overshoot, ITAE index and the robustness of the performance, the DDE method has better performance robustness on this class of distributed parameter systems which is described by one-dimensional diffusion-wave equation.
