Analysis of application characteristics of Chinese traditional architectural symbols

Traditional architectural symbols are neither simply architectures, nor purely morphological symbols, but a kind of symbol which can be applied in the architecture to manifest specific regional culture with its own architectural functional characteristics. Under the principles of architectural semiotics, this paper will analyze the architectural symbols in order to explore the characteristics and application significance of traditional architectural symbols when they are applied in the modern architectural design, making a summary of its application.
