Low-temperature SrTiO3 oxygen gas sensor for environment monitoring application

Monitoring the content of the oxygen in the environment is very important due to the oxygen level having severe effect on human life. Through high-energy ball milling and screen-printing techniques, 40°C operating temperature for SrTiO₃ oxygen gas sensor was obtained. It is much lower than that of the conventional SrTiO₃ oxygen sensors above 700°C. This is significant for application of semiconducting metal oxide oxygen in medical, environment and domestic fields.
