Frequency domain analysis of /spl Pi//spl Delta//spl Sigma/ ADC and its application to combining subband decomposition and /spl Pi//spl Delta//spl Sigma/ ADC

The /spl Pi//spl Delta//spl Sigma/ ADC architecture, proposed recently by Galton and Jensen (1995), requires neither time oversampling nor time interleaving. This architecture has a bank of Hadamard modulators at the front-end that, along with low-pass channel filters and back-end Hadamard demodulators, decompose the input spectrum into non-overlapping frequency bands. The frequency domain analysis of /spl Pi//spl Delta//spl Sigma/ ADC architecture shows that this architecture is closely related to the subband decomposition based ADC. Furthermore, the /spl Pi//spl Delta//spl Sigma/ ADC architecture can be generalized by combining it with the subband decomposition based ADC architecture.
