Application of comprehensive Geophysical detection technique to the hidden trouble of dyke

As nondestructive technologies, Geophysical methods have been widely used to detect the hidden trouble of dyke. However each geophysical method has not only its own advantage but also its limitations, so it is difficult to choose one from them to solve all problems from shallow to deep. This article takes advantage of high-density resistivity method to conduct a detailed detection in the shallow part of the dam and makes use of transient electromagnetic method(TEM) to detect the hazards in the deep part. At the same time, the seismic reflection method is used to locate the positon of electrical anomoly area as reference. For concrete pavement, it's difficult to use the conventional electrodes to supply current, so we try to use the towel with saturated brine as "soft electrode", the results show that the "soft electrode " is very powerful. Integrated analysis of the results achieving from three methods indicate that this kind of combination is much more robust and accurate in detecting the hazards of dyke.
