Parallel interconnect using 1.3-/spl mu/m laser and multimode fiber array

This paper describes a 10-channel synchronized optical interconnect with a DC-coupled transmitter and an AC-coupled receiver. The bit-error rate was less than 10/sup -12/ at 622 Mb/s with a link length of 300 m.
