The principle and application software for the intelligent identification of sequence units

Sequence stratigraphy is an important theory in the field of earth sciences which can analyze the stratigraphy and sedimentary. But how to divide sequence stratigraphic units quantitatively is always a challenge and frontier in this domain. Wavelet analysis is famous for “mathematics microscope”. Based on depth domain and wavelet analysis of logging data and former experts study, and by the guidance of the classic sequence stratigraphy, this article has designed an intelligent identification method to divide sequence stratigraphic units. Based on the research of the accumulative parameter of sand clay ratio and wavelet analysie, the software which can intelligently identify the sequence stratigraphic units is created. And this software has well applied in the analysis of real data.
