Meet the 68HC12

Since its introduction in 1984, the 698HC11 family of microcontrollers has reached over 1/2 billion units sold. To provide this growing market with a source code compatible upgrade, Motorola has recently released its next generation, called the 68HC12 family. In this paper I'll describe some of the features of the 68HC12, such as increased performance, code size reduction, background debug support, expanded memory, high-level language support, fuzzy logic, and 68HC11 "look and feel".
