Abstract:

The design uses standard computer sound-card instead of commercial data acquisition card to design a dual-channel digital storage virtual oscilloscope. The virtual oscilloscope includes hardware and software. The sound card is set up in hardware and the signal conditioning circuit is designed. Using module for the design, all the modules are designed by LabVIEW which is a graphical programming tool. The software includes data acquisition module, parameter measurement module, time-base amplitude control module, spectral analysis module, waveform display module, waveform storage and playback module, filtering and signal generator module. The virtual oscilloscope has multichannel signal input and channel control, trigger control, waveform control, measurement parameters, spectrum analysis, power spectrum analysis, filtering, waveform storage, signal generator and other functions. The virtual oscilloscope has 16 quantitative precision and the maximum sampling frequency of 44.1KHz. The collection frequency range is from 10Hz to 20KHz. The virtual oscilloscope's functions are comprehensively tested. The test results show the virtual oscilloscope can completely replace the traditional oscilloscope. The virtual oscilloscope's design is successful.
