Disappearance of polarization entanglement due to the relative orientation of two fiber's PMD vectors

We study propagation of polarization-entangled photon pairs through optical fibers with polarization-mode dispersion (PMD). We observe abrupt loss and revival of entanglement as the PMD vector of one fiber rotates relative to the PMD vector of the other fiber.
