Determination of Thermal Lensing and Dynamic Operating Point of Quasi-Concentric Laser Resonator With Line-Shaped End-Pumping Profile: The Influence of ${\rm TEM}_{00}$ Beam Size

The numerical modeling of the thermal lensing effect is investigated for the quasi-concentric laser resonator with a line-shaped end-pumping profile, in which the thermal focal power sensitively depends on the TEM
₀₀
mode size at the thermal lens. Based on the modeling, a design method for the dynamic operating point of the laser is introduced, providing the theoretical basis and explanation of the experimental implementation of stable laser performance with the operating point at the subcritical region.
