For the other regions, DGFs can be expressed in terms of corresponding reflection and transmission coefficients and two characteristic waves (or eigenvectors) in each region. For the sake of brevity they are not presented here. The above formulation is used to calculate the DGF due to a source embedded in a biaxial slab and the result numerically agrees with the calculation of DGF obtained via the reciprocity theorem. The above DGF can also be used to solve the problem of radiation of a Hertzian dipole embedded in an anisotropic (reciprocal or non-reciprocal) medium.
