H∞ output tracking control for nonlinear discrete-time systems in random network environment

This paper is concerned with the H

output tracking control problem for a class of nonlinear discrete-time networked control systems via a state-feedback controller, where the nonlinear plant is approximated by a discrete-time Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model, and the nonlinear plant and the tracked plant are distributed in a wide area. Considering the random characteristics of network transmission, data packet dropout is modeled as a Bernoulli sequence. Then, a new model with stochastic parameters is established for such tracking control problem. Based on parallel distributed compensation (PDC) scheme and stochastic stability theory, a design procedure for the fuzzy tracking controller, which guarantees that the output of the nonlinear plant tracks that of a tracked plant in the modified H
_∞
sense, is presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). A simulation example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
