The design of an integrated circuit using a Virtual Enterprise

Recent advances in information and communication technologies have enabled the implementation of the Virtual Enterprise in various forms. This paper describes the process followed to successfully complete the layout of a Flash Memory Integrated Circuit project using a Virtual Enterprise. The criteria for project and extended team selection are presented. The team architecture and communication infrastructure are discussed in detail. The paper reports on how today's technology was used to setup hardware and software systems, and how data security issues were resolved.
