The High-Frequency Electromagnetic Field Scattering Analysis by Calling ANSYS Based on MATLAB

A method is introduced to realize the calling of simulation analysis programs designed by ANSYS's parametric design language APDL in MATLAB. The procedures are illustrated by a practical example in which MATLAB calls ANSYS to create the high-frequency electromagnetic field finite element simulation model, applies the loads and the boundary conditions, and achieved the simulation of a medium column scattering effect analysis under a plane wave incident. The obtained data and images show the transmission characteristic of electromagnetic wave. The results can be conveniently calling and processing by MATLAB. A good platform is built by this method for data transmission and interactive use between MATLAB and ANSYS. Some key commands and steps are explained in the paper.
