Protecting electrical and electronic systems from moisture damage

A superior mode of electronics' environmental protection will significantly transfigure shipboard and maritime electronics. The maritime electronic system's current protection mode of water tight containment with sealed components will reform into standard configurations typically seen in current everyday office environments with the advent of a highly developed, applied inline, electronics protection. Electronics and electrical components are often protected from exposure to moisture and other chemicals utilizing unnecessary methods. The current protection methods add cost, take up space and increase cost to manufacture. This paper's intent is to assert that the hermetic (or enclosure with tight seal) protection methodology is to become obsolete, as superior methods, which are less expensive, less time consuming and take up much less space are being improved and utilized.
