An Empirical Study on the Affecting Factors of China's Textiles Importing Growth

First, based on the standard international trade classification, this paper analyzed the characteristics of China's textile imports, and pointed out the importance of studying on China's textile imports. Second, this paper systematically reviewed the theory and practice achievements of trade gravity model, in order to settle a foundation for introducing the model into the paper. Finally, the paper made a moderate amendment on the original trade gravity model according to the features of China's textile industry, mainly increased some explanation variables reflecting industrial characteristics and imports trade. Besides, the paper in detail analyzed and discussed the affecting factors which influenced on China's textile imports trade. These studies would provide some guiding ideas for the overall development of China's textile industry.
