Single-sideband electrooptic modulators and their application in tunable opto-electronic oscillators

We report on the development of resonant single sideband electro-optical modulators using whispering gallery mode resonators made with electrooptic material. Application of these modulators in compact, widely tunable opto-electronic oscillators and all-optical atomic clocks is discussed.
